What is KidIT? School? Courses? Kindergarten?
Judging from all generally accepted forms of studying, we would rather call it the first programming courses in a child’s life, but with a focus on the development of creativity through composing new things (stories, cartoons, games) using modern technologies.
What is targeting age of the children?
We have children from 5 to 10 years old. However, we understand that every child develops in a unique way, so we can make an exception in some cases.
How does the studying occur?
We provide our lessons in game format: frequent change of activities, movements, team games, individual experiments using tablet, group and pair work. Working with tablet takes only 30% of the time, and 70% goes on all sorts of games to develop 4C skills (creativity, communication, teamwork, critical thinking).
Usually our groups consist of 6-8 children. There are 2 Ninjas, which work with the group during the lesson.
In the end of each level the child creates an interactive multiseries story or multilevel game, inventing the characters, story and the plot.
While the children are engaged, parents have a possibility to communicate with each other in a separate room..
By the way, they usually have no less interesting conversations than kids.
How long does one program last?
Each course consists 12 hours: 12 lessons for 60 minutes (two lessons per week), or 8 lessons for 90 minutes (one lesson per week).
It’s not a one-off class like developing courses, but a full-fledged complex from its starting point to final presentations of the children’s projects in front of their parents.
Who are teachers?
We have Ninjas – not teachers or tutors.
Children already have a certain expirience of a teacher – an adult lady who will punish them if they run in class or giggle with a classmate during the lesson. We do not want this bias to affect the atmosphere of the class.
Our lessons are fundamentally different from what you see in other schools. Ninjas usually sit in the middle of the children’s group in the bags of armchairs, laugh and run with them. And never scold. NEVER.
We simply don’t need this. If a child is distracted – a problem is in us. So you need to come up with something more interesting! It sounds like a challenge. Therefore, we are only taking teachers who are ready for such calls. Those who are ready to become a Ninja.
They are programmers, project managers or young educators with technological education. People who love children and easily get along with them. Those who are convinced that every child has a hidden genius inside, and who assumes the responsibility to disclose it.
How can I see the studying process to ensure that my child would like to attend it?
Each month we have trial lessons. If you want to attend it you should fill in the application form and we will inform you on the time and date of the next class.
You will have a chance to ask all the questions there and estimate the studying process.
What is the cost of studying?
The cost of each course is different. You can find the current price for any course on page of your city.
How can I enroll my child on the program?
Step 1: Fill in the application form.
Step 2: Visit one trial lesson in your city.
Step 3: Confirm your participation by paying the cost of the whole program (12 classes)
Step 4: Get inspired by the fire in the eyes of your child after each class 🙂
